BAN vs IND Live: Where to Watch, Match Preview & Live Streaming

The 47th game of the ongoing T20 World Cup will take place at Antigua between India and Bangladesh where the former will look to cement their place for the semi-finals and the latter will just look for survival in the mega-event.

Team Overview:

India will be hoping to beat Bangladesh and make their chances for the semi-finals strong. Their bowling unit has shown dominating performances so far as they bowled out Afghanistan for 134 in the latest encounter.

Jasprit Bumrah just gave 7 runs in 4 overs and took 3 wickets. Imagine bowling with an economy of just 1.75, unbelievable?

While in the spin department Axar Patel bowled a good spell as he took one wicket and conceded 15 runs in 3 overs. The return of Kuldeep Yadav wasn’t fruitful either.

The bowling department have shown great performances defending 120 against Pakistan but the batting lineup of the Indian side has struggled thus far. Twice in a row they were dependent on Suryakumar Yadav to take the team out of the wobble.

Yadav was player of the match against Afghanistan as he scored a crucial knock of 53 runs off 28 balls. He plundered 5 boundaries and 3 sixes in this match-winning knock.

The pressure will be building on the Indian batting lineup and particularly on Shivam Dube to come good as the spin enforcer and in a match against the great spin attack, Dube will have to face another stern test.

Besides Dube all the eyes will be on Jadeja as he has only batted twice in this tournament so far scoring 0 and 7, respectively. And he bowled in a single game which was against Afghanistan and took the only wicket of his tournament so far.

It is yet to be seen how Rohit Sharma will use him against Bangladesh.

Talking about Bangladesh they have the same issues as the Indian side – the batting lineup. The Bengal batters have failed to put up a gigantic show thus far in the T20 World Cup with the highest strike rate being just about 125.

The bowling unit has been on par and there are two standout performers with the bowl – Mustafizur Rahman and the leg spinner Rishad Hossain.

Bangladesh’s all hopes will be on Tanzid Hasan who scored a duck in his latest outing. So, in order to solve the Bangladesh top-order wobbles, Hasan will have to step-up, but can Hasan step-up against the likes of Bumrah and co? Only time will tell.

Beyond these matchups, the India-Bangladesh rivalry adds another layer of excitement, making their clashes the much-anticipated ones!
Pitch and weather report:

This pitch is supportive to the bowlers, particularly conducive to the fast bowling as we saw in the recent game between Australia and Bangladesh where Pat Cummins was adjudged player of the match as he took 3 wickets. Since the pitch favours the bowling, a low-score thriller is expected, and the average innings score can range between 135-140.

Head-to-head record:

A total of 13 matches have been played between these two sides and out of which Bangladesh have only won once while India stood victorious in 12 games.

Predictions:

India are favourites to win this encounter.
