Bangladesh and Pakistan will face each other in the second T20i of the ongoing series at Dhaka on 22nd July.
Match Preview:
Bangladesh have an ideal chance to win the ongoing series after vanquishing Pakistan in the 1st T20 of the series. They will win successive series as they won T20 series against Sri Lanka as well.
Bangladesh started the year poorly but its like they are gaining momentum now. Nevertheless, their batting need more brilliance and fielding must be consistent. The captain, Litton Das, who finally scored some runs against Sri Lanka went without making an impact against Pakistan.
While Parvez Hosain Emon scored in the 1st match of the series, Bangladesh would be in need of brilliance from the likes of Towhid Hirdoy, Jaker Ali, and Tanzid Hasan. Bangladesh’s quick performed aptly using Dhaka’s surface in their favour. Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rehman need to bowl more good overs and if Mahedi Hasan continues his rich form, he can become match winner for the side and automatic choice for the playing XI.
Talking about Pakistan, they would need to discover more ways to bat on a pitch like Dhaka. The batting side is young and it will take time to learn but playing careless shots and gifting wickets should not be encouraged at all. Fakhar Zaman would be the key for Pakistan team given the way he batted in the first game as well. Moreover, Zaman is 107 runs away from becoming just the fifth Pakistani to 2000 T20I runs
The captain Salman Ali Agha had said in the last game that the side would come up with new plans and the coach Mike Hesson also second his thoughts with the captain.
The bowling of Pakistan looks a bit weaker with no proper new bowling option besides Salman Mirza who showed promise on his debut. Abbas Afridi bowled well and he needs to bowl well if Pakistan want to level the series and set up series decider.
