ENG VS WI 1st T20I: Live Streaming, Where to Watch, & Match Preview

After the exciting ODI series, England and West Indies will face each other in a five-match T20i series starting from 10th November in West Indies. The first T20i between the sides will be played on 10th November in Barbados.

Match Preview:

After competing in a three-match ODI series, England and West Indies are ready to square-off in a T20i series. West Indies will be in much confidence after winning the ODI series against the same side. The side has not played a single T20i after a heart-breaking loss to South Africa which ended their World Cup hopes and dream.

The side will be led by Rovman Powell and will miss the presence of Alzarri Joseph in the first two games as he was banned by the Cricket West Indies after apologising for storming off the pitch during the deciding ODI in Barbados.

Nevertheless, all eyes will be on Andre Russell who hasn’t played for West Indies after the T20 World Cup 2024. Russell wants to play for his nation till 2026 T20 edition and for this purpose his workload is being managed by Sammy and Co. All the hopes will be on Russell how he settles himself in this T20 series against England. Shamar Joseph and Gudakesh Motie will be in charge to lead the pace attack while Akeal Hosein is supposed to play an all-round role in the series.

Talking about the England side, they will be delighted as finally Jos Buttler will be making his international comeback after a calf injury forced him to miss The Hundred, white-ball series against Australia, and ODI series against West Indies.

Phil Salt will keep the wickets for England while Jofra Archer is supposed to play in the 1st T20 as well. England will look to make a strong statement as they lost the ODI series against Australia and lost a Test series against Pakistan too. The side will look to play a better brand of cricket, the brand they are famous for but will look to produce the result which will favour them.

Pitch and weather report:

The pitch of Barbados was one of the highest scoring venues during the T20 World Cup 2024. Nevertheless, the pitch is supposed to become easier to bat on under lights. The weather shows a hot day but with the chances of rain too.

Head-to-head record:

A total of 30 matches are played between England and West Indies. West Indies lead the charge with 17 victories before their name while England has won 13 games thus far.

Predictions:

Considering the recent performances and home advantage, West Indies are favourite to win the game.
