GT VS SRH 51st Match Live: Where to Watch, Match Preview, & Live Streaming

Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad will face each other in the 51st game of the ongoing tournament on 2nd May at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad

Match Preview:

The Gujarat Titans (GT) may have lost their last match to the Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets, but they’re still holding strong at fourth place in the standings, with six wins from 10 games. Led by skipper Shubman Gill, GT have looked consistent throughout the season.

Gill, along with B Sai Sudharsan, has formed a solid opening partnership, racking up 541 runs together at an impressive average of over 60. However, their strike rate of just 8.94 runs per over is the second-lowest in the league, raising questions about their conservative batting style. Even so, the approach seems to be working for them.

GT’s bowling attack has been one of their biggest strengths. Mohammed Siraj has been lethal in the powerplay, Prasidh Krishna has brought control in the middle overs, and R Sai Kishore has been effective with his spin. Add Rashid Khan’s experience into the mix, and it’s a well-rounded attack that’s tough to beat. Jos Buttler could also be a game-changer if he finds form.

On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are still struggling in the bottom half of the table, sitting ninth with just three wins in 10 matches. They did manage a five-wicket win against CSK recently, thanks in part to a solid showing from Ishan Kishan. Their opening pair, Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head, were a revelation last season—putting up 599 runs in 13 innings at a blistering run rate of over 13.

But this season has been a different story. They’ve only managed 316 runs together so far, and nearly half of that came in just one match. Their average has dipped to 35.11, and their scoring rate has dropped to 10.89 per over.

If SRH are to turn things around, they’ll need Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy to step up. Pat Cummins’ leadership has helped steady the side somewhat, but consistent performances across the board will be key if they want to climb the standings.

Pitch and weather report:

It can be another high-scoring game as five of eight innings in Ahmedabad have seen 200-plus totals. Usually, 200 is a par score here and defending is not a difficult task but the last game of Titans vs Royals was the first instance of a successful chase of that magnitude.

Ahmedabad is predicted to have temperatures as high as 42 degrees Celsius, with little chance of cooling temperatures in the evening.

Head-to-head record:

Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad have played each other in 5 matches. Gujarat Titans have won 3 matches, while Sunrisers Hyderabad have secured 1 win. One match between the two teams ended with no result.

Prediction:

Although Gujarat lost their last game, they are still favourite to win the upcoming clash, given how they have been performing and keep a balance side.
