PCB unveils Women’s Cricket Calendar for 2025-26 season

On 18th July, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled the domestic and international calendar for the women’s team for the 2025-26 season.

In pathway cricket, the  National Women’s U19 T20 Tournament is scheduled to take place in Karachi from 15 September to 6 October. After that, the U19 team would tour Bangladesh for a five-match T20 series in December this year. After the pre-departure training for the Bangladesh series, the top players from the tournament will be invited to a three-week skills development program.

The Pakistan women international team will host the South Africa women team at Gaddafi Stadium in September. Before that, the women team will tour Ireland to feature in a three-match T20 series at Dublin.

The dates of the ODIs versus South Africa are set for September 16, 19, and 22, with match times to be decided later. Pakistan will go to Sri Lanka to play in the big event after the series, where they will play their seven league-stage games from October 2 to October 24. Both games will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, if Pakistan advances to the semi-final on October 29 and the final on November 2.

To begin their campaign in the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29, Pakistan will tour South Africa in February and host Zimbabwe in April. In this cycle, Pakistan will play the T20 World Cup in England as well and before that they will take part in a tri-series as well.

Reacting to this schedule, the head of Women’s cricket Rafia Haider had said that this schedule reflects the board’s commitment in providing consistent chances to the women’s team to improve.

“The 2025-26 calendar reflects our strategic commitment to providing consistent and meaningful playing opportunities for our women cricketers at all levels. From robust international assignments to competitive domestic tournaments, we are ensuring our players are fully prepared to excel on the world stage.

“Our Pathways structure continues to evolve with the aim of building a strong future for Pakistan women’s cricket. The U19 T20 tournament, followed by the tour to Bangladesh will offer young players valuable exposure and an opportunity to develop the skills required at the international level.

“We are also actively engaging in discussions with various departments to introduce a departmental tournament for women’s cricket. This initiative will provide additional playing opportunities for our women cricketers.”
