RCB VS DC 24th Match Live: Where to Watch, Live Streaming, & Match Preview

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will square off against Delhi Capitals (DC) in 24th game of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on 10th April at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Match Preview:

Despite having the same number of victories going into this match, RCB and DC have had very different paths thus far. The Capitals have won all three of their games with authority and consistency, giving them a fantastic start. After playing more away games and finding it difficult to settle into a rhythm, RCB is still looking for their first home win of the season.

All eyes will be on Virat Kohli, RCB’s batting talisman, who has an outstanding record against Delhi, averaging over 50 with ten fifties to his name. He’ll once again face off against Mitchell Starc, DC’s strike bowler and a familiar face at Chinnaswamy from his RCB days in 2014 and 2015.

Starc has taken nine wickets this season with an economy of 8.9, but Kohli has historically dominated him in the IPL, scoring 40 runs off just 19 balls without being dismissed. With Kohli’s new aggressive intent in the powerplay, striking at 162 in his first ten balls, this duel promises fireworks early on.

The fact that RCB will play two of its former stars, Faf du Plessis and KL Rahul, who are now wearing DC colors, will further add to the narrative.

Rajat Patidar’s performance in the middle overs, particularly against spin, will be crucial if RCB is to gain the upper hand. Kuldeep Yadav of DC, who has taken 40 wickets since 2022, has been a force during that era.

With Patidar, Jitesh Sharma, and Tim David all averaging over 40 and hitting at 150 or higher, the RCB middle order had appeared to be strong this season.

However, they must be cautious of Axar Patel, who has a strong record against David and Jitesh, dismissing both of them twice while maintaining strike rates below 90.

In the powerplay, RCB will rely on the precision of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the all-time IPL powerplay wicket leader, and Josh Hazlewood, who has an incredible 72.9% dot-ball rate in 2025. Their assignment? Hold off DC’s dynamic opener Jake Fraser-McGurk, who has a strike rate of 205 and is the powerplay’s fastest scorer since 2024.

Pitch and weather report:

Over the years, batters have found the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru to be an excellent ground. The average first-inning score in the IPL is 178. The teams that bat first have won 41 games, while the teams that chase have won 50.

This location has only hosted one IPL 2025 match. Gujarat Titans chased the mark with eight wickets and 13 balls remaining after RCB reached 169/8 in their 20 overs.

Cloudy conditions are expected in the evening, with a chance of showers.

Head-to-head record:

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Delhi Capitals have participated in 31 IPL games. Of those meetings, Delhi has won eleven and 19 games were won by RCB.

In 12 games at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Delhi has won four and lost six. 2019 saw their most recent victory in Bengaluru.

Prediction:

Given their poor record at Chinnaswamy Stadium, RCB is likely to suffer another defeat in the upcoming match of the IPL.
