Sunrisers Hyderabad will host Mumbai Indians in the 41st game of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) on 23rd April at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium
Match Preview:
In last year’s IPL, SRH won five of their first seven games in the season but this year, it has been the opposite. Although the side has been playing with the same mantra which almost won them the title, this year around, things aren’t working for them.
Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma’s early success has served as the model for their success. It was inevitable that they would eventually fall for low scores in that attempt. The problem was that the openers occasionally became stuck, which was exacerbated in the previous game against the same opponents.
Since the top-order hitters wind up utilizing more balls—the trap of conservative batting, which SRH purposely intended to avoid—that is somewhat worse than being out for low scores. The consequences of bad starts have been compounded by the fact that Heinrich Klaasen’s highest score this season is 35 and that Nitish Kumar Reddy averages 21.
However, it is not only batting which has been sub-par, the bowling has been average too. Mohammad Shami has averaged 52 so far while the captain Pat Cummins has maintained the average of 36. The spinners, looking no fearsome, also have taken the least number of wickets with the worst economy this season.
In all of this, Mumbai Indians (MI) are coincidentally in a prime position. They started slowly and caught up as the season went on, which is how they have developed their success over the past ten years.
After five games this season, they only had one victory before a hat-trick of victories moved them up to sixth place; another victory on Wednesday will move them up to third. Despite losing their first three away games, they pulled off an incredible comeback victory to give the Delhi Capitals their first defeat of the season.
Early on, Trent Boult has employed his variations in addition to swinging the new ball. After his injury, Jasprit Bumrah is getting back into his rhythm, but he is doing it far more quickly and with much more control than most mortals.
However, Hyderabad would try their best to get the home-advantage as much as they can to bounce back from the rough start meanwhile Mumbai Indians will look forward to carry the winning momentum.

Pitch and weather report:
The Hyderabad pitch is probably going to be a belter because SRH’s hitters need to improve. Expect a lot of runs because this season has already seen four scores of 240 or more in eight innings. After a scorching day, it will be a warm evening with a maximum temperature of 38° Celsius predicted for Hyderabad.
Head-to-head record:
In their 24 IPL meetings, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians have faced off; Mumbai has won 14 of the meetings, while Sunrisers Hyderabad has won the remaining 10.
Prediction:
Considering how MI have been performing and comfortably beat SRH in their last outing, they are favourites to win the upcoming game of the tournament.
