WI VS PAK 1st ODI Live: Where to Watch, Match Preview, & Live Streaming

West Indies and Pakistan will face each other in the 1st Odi of the series on 8th August at Brian Lara Cricket Academy, Ground in Trinidad and Tobago.

Match Preview:

The first Odi will be played at Brian Lara stadium and it’s the second time this stadium will host any game. Pakistan will be high in confidence after beating West Indies in a T20i series.

Pakistan will be bolstered by the comeback of Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. Abdullah Shafique will also be back from the side and Hasan Nawaz might make his debut in this series.

Pakistan had been facing a below par time in the Odis, they lost tri nation series in February, did not qualify for the next round in Champions Trophy, and lost a series to New Zealand as well. If anything, the side will look to win some games and to get their groove back into this format

Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan said that his side will try to win the series and was excited to have some interesting players in the squad.

“We are looking forward to putting our best foot forward in the ODI format and this away series in tough conditions promises to be a fine challenge for our budding squad. We have got some exciting players like Sufyan Moqim and Hassan Nawaz in the ranks, who are eager to further prove their mettle in 50-over cricket.

“Facing West Indies in their backyard is never easy and with the help of the Almighty, we’ll look to express ourselves with both bat and ball in order to clinch the series. They too have some exciting players in the mix which will surely increase the competitiveness of the three matches.”

Talking about the West Indies, although their form was good in this format, they failed to win a series against Australia and Pakistan. Now, they have an ideal chance to create a winning momentum ahead of the T20 World cup. Although it’s an Odi series, winning momentum is all important moving to the all-important mega event in 2026.
